I am an Englishman and proud of it, I think the best think for any American to do with this question is treat it with the contempt it deserves. Ignore it. The retaliation of many answers is a childish as the question and serves no purpose other than to give the questioner a bigger sense of superiority than ia already obvious.
Unless of course he is just winding Americans up in which he has succeeded admirably

Americans are not ignorant or stupid??? So why then does a graduate degree from 99.9% of American universities equal high school qualifications in the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia etc. etc. etc.
Also statistics say - yes most American's are inflatable. The reasons why are because they are planning to wipe out the world with global warming and are storing up fat reserves (like camels) so they can live longest, just to prove to themselves they are right and everyone else is wrong! There may also be an element of excessive use of botox in some cases!

It is a crying shame that the usual retort to these very entertaining and valid questions focusses on our apparent deficiency in our dental hygiene and our inability to fight wars, without the aid of the US of A. Can you people of the US of A not do better than that, I thought you were educated, worldy, mature people?
Anyway I believe that Sidney may have unwittingly discovered the solution to global warming.
The plan is for all the people of the US of A to take one enormous breath through their gargantuan orifice (their mouths). Based on empirical data the average person of the US of A has a girth of approximately of 127cm (50inches to the dumb assess who still use imperial measurements.) By simple mathematics the volume of air that can be inhaled = Pi(3.14)xd(.127)xh(.3)= approx 0.119cu.m of air/person. The current population of the US of A = 302,132,568, therefore volume of air = 35,953,775cu.m.
Now all of you people of the US of A do us all a good turn, breath in and hold your breaths and absorb all that bad air of which you are all mainly responsible for emmitting. Now keep holding your breaths!
Do some good in the world for a change!
Have a nice day now!

Mouthpiece? You backwards Englishman! We have automatic pumps installed, just below the gall bladder. With a touch of a hidden button, our compartments quickly fill with air, thus frightening away those who would prey upon us.
You still have to rely on your primitive ink sacs. Sad, really.

Isn't Europe becoming more Americanized. The last time I was strolling through Paris, I do believe I stumbled upon a McDonalds or two. Not everyone stuffs there faces. . . American's aren't "inflatable".

urm, i see that you are just making another load of stupid comments, not asking a question, and annoying not only american's but other english people as well. I suggest you actually GO to america (as you obviously haven't) before you make rediculous comments.

I have two questions for you:
1 - What exactly did you do on this "business" trip?
2 - Does it really suck to be flirting with zero points all the time, needing to provide lame answers to 2 or 3 questions to enable you to ask one more?

It's funny how it's alright when an Englishman can stereotype Americans, but when we try to defend ourselves, we are called stupid and arrogant Americans for no apparent reason. The person who is making the generalizations is the stupid one.
I could ask you why most English people have crappy teeth, but that is ignorant and stupid and I am making myself as stupid as you are making yourself look like.
And if you mean fat, I am not fat. I am 6'0 and I weigh 175, which is normal by health standards.
