I am a ninth-grader from Houston, Tx and i am looking to be a pharmicist. Are there any good schools around here i can go to? And are there any high school classes or other recommendations that i should know of to have a better chance at entering them?

Try this website! It is a pharmaceutical school in Texas!

For your other question: In high school you should take as many math and science classes as possible. If you have pathways at your school look into a math/science pathway. Otherwise explain to your counseler that these are classes you want to take pretty much all levels of! :-) If you take 2 classes a year and you get done by your junior or senior year in some cases you can go to an outside tech school during the day and take an extra class or two which will count towards college in some cases

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Pharmacy is a great career and you will have an interesting job and make a lot of money. But it is very tough getting into pharmacy college these days. You will need to have good marks and be a good student. In particular, you need to be solid in math and outstanding in chemistry.

To get more information about pharmacy schools, look at the website of the Association of American Colleges of Pharmacy AACP. They have links to every accredited school of pharmacy in the USA. You can link over to all the schools in your part of the country and read the details about them in their websites.

Good luck!
