why an FM radio signal can be received further away ag the heigth of the transmission tower is increseased also why you can receive more distant television station by using a higher antena

At a greater height, the signals move unobstructed since there are no houses or buildings that may interfere with it. The quality is better therefore. More distant television signals can still reach you if u use a high antenna as u can still reach those signals that have not been blocked before.
