If this is ture how can planets in a perfect orbit be formed. As far as I know when you blow something up its ends up being in many peices scatered all over. This doen't make sense to me how anyone can believe this.

Science has nothing to do with truth. As for the universe, it's expanding and cooling. Whether or not it is logical to believe that it was then smaller and warmer in the past is up to you. Stars and planets are formed by gravity. Perturbative calculations based on big bang cosmology and gravity result in distributions of matter density similar to what we see in the observable universe. In terms of explaining how things are the way they ARE, e.g. observed cosmic inflation, microwave background radiation--suggesting a very hot initial universe, etc. the big bang is the logical conclusion.

The theory doesn't make sense to you because you've limited your scope of thinking to just the beginning. The 'bang' of the theory was only the start. There's been plenty of time for gravity and other forces to bring things together according to the laws of physics, resulting in groups of stars and galaxies.

You're also limiting your thinking to earth-bound phenomena. Yes, if something blows up on earth, there will be pieces scattered all over. Because they've been pushed out by the explosive force and then settled via gravity toward the surface of the earth. But the big bang didn't happen on the surface of the earth.

There's just so much more to the theory than a simple explosion.

GRAVITY!

Those little pieces (mostly H and He atoms) were attracted to each other by gravity. Over billions of years they condensed into stars. Planets are a different story. Rocky planets like earth didn't form until well after the first stars. The heavier elements (iron) that make up the core of our planet was fused in large stars in the young universe. They were spread out across the cosmos through supernova explosions. Over time they also condensed do to gravitational attraction and formed rocky planets like mars and earth.

The Big Bang model of cosmology is the most widely accepted theory on the evolution of the universe. The predictions it has made agree completely with all of our current observations.

But is it really true? No one knows for sure but I would put my money on it!!

Planets do not have a perfect orbit, most of their orbits are elliptical and are also slightly changing over long periods of time. Planets were formed originally by large clouds of dust and other matter that had enough gravity to collapse in on themselves and condense into a sphere. I don't understand how this does not make sense to you.

Just because something doesn't make sense to YOU doesn't mean it isn't true. It doesn't make any sense to me that George Bush is president, but he is. Not believing in something is not the same as proving that it is false, which you have not done here. Provide evidence that it is false and somebody might start listening, but until then, from a scientific standpoint, the Big Bang makes sense, and is no longer considered a theory.

Things did scatter about after the Big Bang. But, look at how large these things were. The sun is huge. If you blow up a skyscraper, you will be left with quite large chunks. If you blow up the universe, you will also have large chunks. These large chunks have their own gravity, which draws in other smaller chunks. These chunks congeal and form planets, stars, moons, and other heavenly bodies.

It has to do with the rotation of the planets, their gravitational force, etc..believing in the big bang doesn't mean you can't believe in God, you know.

planets r in a perfect orbit because of their ow G-force.
Their G-force enables hem to stay in their orbit.
