Basically? Their culture has yet to emerge from the middle ages. Sadly, they have only gleaned the worst of the rest of the world. In the main, the rest of the world has moved on.

One of the main differences is the direct delivery of their divine word (revealed directly to Mohamed). An other one that each culture is often highly influenced by the natural environment and the Muslim civilisation is born under the burning sun - which seems insignificant but isn't at all.

That is a broad question. What is different about Muslim Civilization from the rest of the world... same thing that makes us different from the rest of the world. Everything a culture does that is distinctly different from others is what makes different civilizations

To me the only major difference that would individualize Muslims from others is their conception of the divinity, which is infinitely far from the human being.
