No. It's entirely NOT fair for someone to hold something over their new girlfriend/boyfriend's head because of what an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend did to them.

The new person has no influence on what happened in the past, so there's no reason that they should be held accountable for what happened then, versus what's happening now.

The best thing to do is to try and start with a clean slate every time you have to start over with a new beau. Although that doesn't mean that you should forget the lessons you learned from the past, but you shouldn't hold anything over the next person's head.

only the a**hole! it's the whole playing the victim drama. everyone has been in a bad relationship at one point or another. you can only cry about for so long before you pick up your pride and move on with your life. Sad but true. Don't let this person get you down. Relationships are a lot of work.

Simply put in the context of how you word this question: no. That said, if you are with someone and they have had bad relationships in the past, you do have to take that into consideration when you interact with them. You can make the relationship work, regardless, but it takes effort from both parties involved.

NO! If that person can't let go of what someone else did to them, then they are not ready to be in a new relationship. You had nothing to do with what happened to them, you are not that other person and if they can't see that, then you need to be somewhere else.

women seem to think all men are responsible for them picking the wrong guys as usual!
if they would stop over looking the goodguys in search for the bad ones, No one would have this problem!

then they have the nerve to take it out on us, when we personally had nothing to do with them getting dogged out by a dog!

YOU KNEW HE WAS A DOG WHEN YOU MET HIM!

meanwhile poindexter is smiling at you and sending you flowers and wrioting you poems and you want NOTHING to do with him!

Remember women, Billy Ole Gates was a poindexter!
