Francia is Spanish for France and I was think of nameing my girl that. What do yall think?

Well, normally I don't care for country names as baby names, but this one isn't quite as horrible as some I've heard (like that guy who wanted to name his kid Mexico or whatever). You could always call her Francie for short, I guess.

Trust me when I suggest a slightly more conventional spelling that doesn't necessarily suggest the country of France--Francis or Francine.

I think it would be a great name if you are naming the baby girl after her father...i.e., Frank, or Francis.

It sort of makes me think of Franzia, which is a cheap brand of wine-in-a-box.
