Yes! Imagine what it would be like without life. It would be awful. I may not be a philosopher, but life is a huge gift. Doesn't matter whether you believe in a god, life is very special and everyone should value it.

Important to who? I think that question must be asked. I think it's impossible to say outside of us if any other thing in the universe or on earth thinks life is important. We can only define it by what we as humans think about it. If it's important to you then that's all you need to know. You can probably find some people who agree with you without trying very hard. I think life is important. But I know that's just me. I don't fancy that thoughts and feelings that go on inside my head extend out into the entire universe.

Some peoples' lives are very important, in the sense that they help improve others.

For example, Marie Curie's work revolutionised the way we look at cancer. Other people have dedicated their entire lives to helping others, some merely do what they can.

Believe it or not, those that have the unfortunate job of killing others to preserve freedom have very important lives, just look at the remendous sacrifice made in the two world wars and how without them giving up their lives, ours would be much worse.

All life is important if you can make it so. But of course humanity's biggest strength, and biggest weakness is that we have that choice between doing something good or not.

The few people whose lives are meaningless are the ones who waste them, are selfish, or extremists.

An obvious fact in common understanding has been made interestingly difficult consider just because it has been put into a question. It is simple, life is important ... why? Because, life is precious; life is beautiful; life is a gift. And above all life is all we have, or is it? Can there be something more important than this in the view than life?

I have realised, under certain situations, that the most important place for you to live in is a place of your dreams. But this is not as simple. Just like in your question, there is an irony in this. For the place of your dreams is not the place you dream about most of the time, but the place that gives you your dreams, dreams of somewhere or something fantastic. You may live somewhere for years and still keeping dreaming about living somewhere else much nicer, but you need to realise that you are dreaming and this is important. If a place can allow you to have niceer dreams than you should know that there is something fantastic about that place which you cannot see directly but through your dreams you realise.

Life for most of us, more than anything else, is an incident full of dreams, aspirations, wishes and desires. This element of life, in my view, excels in value all the things that we can realistically find and posses while living. Life is important because it make us realise that there is something far greater in prospect of this life; it makes us realise that we could be worthy of something much worthier than all we could ever dream of . The only life justified for its value is a life well lived after its dreams.

It's very important to me at the present. I have had some bad news and am coming to realise how important and precious every moment of it is. When you are told that you have 8 to 10 weeks of it left what do you think? I won't be here to see my grandchildren grow up and get married and have their own children. So, to answer your question YES life is important.

Your question is a cyclic redundancy. In order for something to be measured as important would require a living being as giving value or importance is a process of sentient beings. so life is important because in order to receive the value of being important life would have to exist.

Interesting question. Impossible to answer. Something can only be "important" in relation to something else. What else is there other than life? Answer: death. Therefore, is life more important that death? No one knows.

I guess every moment is important..whenever that may be...I personally don't appreciate or respect my life at the moment becos I am tired of this planet, of the darkness around & the pervading evil that goes round....I'd choose life you are right but not this way...
