He lives in another state and has not informed his employer that he has a court order to pay child support. If I mail a copy of the court order to his employer is that sufficient means for them to begin withholding that money from his paycheck?

No-you call your child support agency and give them his employment information. They will send a federal wage withholding and money will be sent though your states disbursement unit. A court order doesn't demand an employer withhold--an income withholding order does.

You could do that, or you could inform the child support place and have them to send in the court order that will start to automatically take it out of his pay.
