This is answered by looking at a graph of what literature teachers refer to as Keats' Parabola. Draw a line horizontally across a page. On top of that draw a line that looks like a hill. Now, imagine that your life is a journey from either side of the page to the other side. On one line you will take no chances and incur no risks -- and probably have very little fun! On the other side you will have that rise to the top of the hill; you'll overcome obstacles to get there, but when you do, you'll be "King of the World!" as Leonardo DiCaprio said in Titanic. Now, unfortuantely, you have to go down the hill on the other side if a love is lost -- to someone else, to death, to moving away, whatever.
The decisioin is now yours to make -- safe and boring or risky but eventful

I think that it is.
I loved my (now ex) Husband with every piece of my heart. I lost him to some troll that he met on a class reunion web site and am now married to a wonderful none cheating man.
So the fact that i loved and lost has taught me to recoginse what a sorry cheating *** is like and would never put up with it again. So in short, I learnt from the experiance.

No way. People just say that to make them feel better. But you do learn alot about your self when you lose some one you love.

yes, you totally right. from that you will know how's the feeling is. when you in love, you wont think about anything else ...just him or her.
but when someone break your heart also you will think about him or her, wondering why he did like that and im sure it will take a long time to be as normal again. face it.

The person who first coined that cliche had obviously never had a real true love

Yes, it is wonderful to experience love, although it isvery painful to loose it. however, sometimes its nice to remember about a past love. and also, knowing that you know how to love, will not make you feel lonely

Yes, it is just like anything in life. It is good to have experience and when you find it again you will be prepared and understand.
