I recently had relations with a woman who is in her mid to late 30's. I made a huge mistake and gave in a little. She says she had her last period one week ago so she could not get pregnant and we engaged in unprotected intercourse for only a few seconds before I got nervous and discontinued. We had been doing other things before the actual intercourse. What are the chances she could be pregnant. I know I made a huge mistake and I am just very worried. Thanks for the help.

Hard to say.

Overall, given the timing of everything, it's a low risk situation but not a no risk one.

You're just going to have to wait it out I'm afraid.

You could do the courteous thing and wait a couple of weeks and contact her again, make sure all is okay.

Oh my. Well, for us women each month there is mathematically 2/30 or 1/15(reduced) chance for us to become pregnant. If you say this woman experienced her last period one week ago, you SHOULD be ok. Emphasis on the SHOULD. A woman ovulates 14 days after her last period. However, your sperm can survive in her body for a few days. Few is a generous average. Preejaculation which may or may not have occurred in your circumstances can contain sperm. My guess is that you are in the clear. Learn from your mistake. Don't do this again, and don't become complacent. You're worth taking the extra effort to protect yourself.

Well, obviously you didn't finish, so I believe the chances are pretty slim - although sometimes, it does happen. Just because she had her period a week before doesn't mean she can't get pregnant - obviously she doesn't know what she is talking about. I think you might be ok this time, but remember next time temptation comes around to use protection no matter what she says!

Hiya, Everyone makes mistakes.. thats what life is about. Dont worry about the foreplay because i dont see how that can get anyone pregnant (unless you know something i dont, if so please share!!) The only thing you have to worry about is that you had sex without protection but on the bright side, you pulled out and i'm guessing you didnt ejaculate in her. If this is true you would be very unlucky if she is pregnant because it is highly unlikely. Hope this has helped. Good luck!

If you have unprotected sex then there is always a chance of pregnancy. You should also protect yourself against STDs. I don't see what her age has to do with it. Lots of women get pregnant in there mid to late 30's.

A week after a period is usually when most women are fertile. It sounds like she was trying to trick you. Chances sound slim, but always possible. Be more careful next time. Good luck.

If you were at all aroused and inside her without a barrier there is a chance she could be pregnant. I don't know the statistics of how LIKELY it is, but it is possible.

Have her test 10-14 days after the sex and see what you get.

Always a chance with unprotected sex. Ever hear of Pre-c um?
I'd say in all likely hood though, you're safe, unless she gave you an std, but that's a whole other can of worms.

You are not the nice one, you are just stupid. Pregnancy is the last thing you need to worry about. Thare is quite a few STDs that you might have contracted, not to mention AIDS! Get yourself checked out!

chances are high, a woman usually ovulates 2 weeks after her period, but that doesn't mean she cant get pregnant at a week after her period...I guess you will have to wait a few more weeks and see if she gets her period again...
