Well, you're period doesn't actually "stop." Being in the water CAN keep the blood from coming out for a while (because of the counter-pressure being exerted against your vagina by the water), but as soon as you emerge from the water, the blood will then flow down and out (and there's likely to be a good bit of it depending on how long you were in the water). Sometimes, even being in the water won't prevent the blood from coming out; I guess it depends on how much you're moving, how much is building up, how heavy your period is, etc.

Your period does not stop when you go in water. You may notice that you don't bleed much or at all when your in the bath or shower. This is probably because you're not moving around. If you're planning on swimming I would highly recommend getting comfortable of tampons. It is likely if you are swimming around you will bleed. Although you period is light and you might think it won't bleed, do you really want to risk the embarrassment? I hope this helps! Love Mysti x

That's wrronnngg..
If your period is heavy and you go into water without a tampon. you will most likely have blood in the water after a little while and you'll have it dripping down your legs after a little while when you get out.
My best advice is don't experiment in public!lol..dont' even take the chance. That would totally be an embarrasing moment.lol

No - not true at all. Perhaps the water washes away the flow but believe me, it's still there. Silly friends!

Theory is that pressure from outside will stop the flow. But don't rely on it.
