Knowing nothing can actually be a good thing. (No one to tell you it can't be done.) But, if you want to study up on it, I'd imagine that horticulture and entemology may both prove to be worthwhile subjects. The two most important pieces of advice I can offer are:
1) have enough capital to sustain you for at least a year (I did not)
2) Location! Location! Location!!!
I retired from the military as an enlisted man, having practiced medicine for 23 years. I got out and had no credentials. I went back to school to gain those credentials and found I could not do calculus. No calc., no means of getting back into the business. I graduated with a degree in History and still couldn't get a job teaching. My wife and I took our last $5000 and started a pet grooming business. Location being everything, we searched until we found the perfect location. The structure needed upgrades. I showed her how and we did the work ourselves. We're into our third year now, we're getting ready to hire a fifth employee and our projected gross profit is expected to be around $120K.
Always try and minimize your risk factors but understand that without risk, there is no gain. Best of luck.
