Do boys and girls have a different one?

That depends on your skill, your strength, your playing style, and your wallet. Some are heavier, some are lighter, some have different strings that grip the ball in different ways, some have the weighting in different areas so that they swing differently. My raquet may be all wrong for you, and vice versa.

The best thing I can advise is that you try several different raquets, and see what you like. If you can use friend's raquets for a game, do so. If not, go to a tennis facility and ask if they have demo requets you can try. Talk to the pro about your game and your skill level. They will probably let you play a game with maybe 3-4 raquets that should work for you. Book an hour of court time with a friend, try them all, and try a range of different strokes with each one. Pick what you like, and play with it to get better with it.

Personally, I have played with nothing but Head racquets since 8th grade (and i am currently using the liquid metal series). However, the most important factor to consider when choosing a racquet is probably your swing style/swing speed. Also, there is a difference in the construction of men's racquets and women's racquets, so be sure that you are shopping in the correct section before you start looking at and trying out racquets.

Good luck finding a racquet to compliment your playing style!

In my opinion, prince rackets and babolat are the best ones.
I think guys usually have babolat and a few girls have prince. But most girls have Head or some other.
