Do you think a molested child can use that as an excuse for whatever they do later in life?

what ever we have in our childhood is baggage that we carry into adult life. how we use the baggage is by choice. adults molested as children could turn it into a positive by charity work for molested children, or any other type of abuse.

Yes it does mess youup...but a lot of that is how much YOU let it mess you up.

It is something tht you can not change, or could do anything to stop. You can not let the guilt get to you or you will drive yourself crazy.

But I believe others should be considerate of the fact, if they know, that this is a serious thing. And that there is going to be parts of it you can not get over easily if at all.

I have a friend that was molested as a child and now has issues with certain things in the bedroom because of it. Her husband does not understand that connection and thinks she should just get over it. Which would be impossible for her, with out his support in the matter.

It is not a crock, but we must take responsiblity for the aspects of our lives that we CAN...make our lives better despite what someone felt they had the right to do to us.

Not at all. It's a tragedy, but you have to leave it in the past. A lot of people have been abused, but have learned to deal with it in other ways than inappropriate behavior.

no, I do not think anyone can use anything in childhood as an excuse for incorrect behavior as an adult. Once you leave childhood, you have to take full responsibility for your actions as an adult, there are no excuses.

no...................... excuses cant be carried out that long..thats just being lazy and and its a bad defense mechanism.......... its is extremely sad though........child molesters should be punished with death.
