The Kennedys are treated like royalty in Massachusetts. There was never any serious investigation or prosecution contemplated or undertaken. I happened to be up there that summer and remember it fairly well.
Also, Ted knows his way around the Congress and can get things done. He brings home the bacon for his state, and so even those that are disgusted with him tend to vote for him as well.
He's a living argument for term limits, since the whole country has to suffer for Massachusetts' decisions. Maybe we should go back to the way it was originally, and let the state legislatures pick the senators. I dunno.

I think Ted Kennedy is revolting to most people, Though I am not sure he murdered that yound girl, I believe he is just a coward who did not have the courage to try and save her so he ran and tried to cover up the facts. Every time I see him, on tv, I see a coward.

He was not convicted of murdering anyone. In fact he was never charged with murdering anyone. What did your friend tell you that he did at Chappaquiddick? Is your friend that powerful over you that he/she influences your opinions without so much as a little investigation on your part? Geez. Start thinking for yourself.

Why does Nancy Pelosy make ETHICS a big issue and ignore William Jefferson?
They are ALL THE SAME!
Throw them ALL out and elect people who actually BELIEVE in the Constitution!

Its called pay off from the Kennedy family. Why do you think he never ran for president? If he ran they would bring out the dirt. So he sets in his fat chair and slithers away.

1.) He's a Democrat. 2.) He's a Kennedy. Democrats can quite literally get away with murder. Sad, but true!

Why is Bush still in office after he murdered thousands under the false pretense of war. Why is Cheney still in office when he has compromise not only the integrity of his office, but the security of the United States with is acts of cronyism and greed. Why are most Senators and Congressional representatives in office when they are backed by major Corporations who lie, steal, and murder hundreds of thousands in the name of good business. We are all guilty, and we are all to blame. The reason they are still in office, all of them is because we the people apathetic in our lives, have not, and will not rise up and say enough. It's easy to write the words (yours and mine) to protest in silent passage when it costs us nothing. But, the time will come when we can no longer afford the luxury of silence, and I believe it will be sooner rather than later.
