Most companies I've found doing customized plush toys only work in large quantity orders, I'm looking for a company or individual crafter that could make just 1 unit. Prefferably somewhere in the midwest.

If you don't mind doing it by email, many sew-ers do this kind of thing on the internet. http://www.sew-it-all.com/pages/custom_sewing.htm
They will make whatever you want. I used to offer that service when I first started out, then became too busy to do the custom work.

there has been a popular rising of those build your own bear stores in georgia they also have other animals.
