real is a very relative term
i started delivering newspapers when i was 11- not a real job but that was the first thing i did
i washed dishes in a bakery when i was 14 - still borderline but i did do it 3 hours a day 6 days a week
i lifeguarded when i turned 15 and that was 36 hours a week in the summer time - i would say that was my first real job... i will except contestation on this considering all i did was sit out in the sun and blow my whistle
at 16 during school and in the summer i started busing tables friday & saturday nights and then did sunday brunch

I was 16 and bagged groceries at the local store, it worked out well and I enjoyed it as much as one can enjoy doing thet kind of thing, but remember that your first job is what you put into it.
Have good work ethic and it will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Good luck, have fun and enjoy those paychecks.

I was 16 working at a Copps Food Center....... oh so much fun for $4.25 an hour. UGH.
the entire time I was growing up we lived on a farm and had to do lots of farm work and that was worse than any job you could find now... I hated baling hay and stacking it, and scooping cow shyt up and feeding them and feeding the baby cows with bottles. oh how boring of a life.
