I don't know the difference but I do know that yellow pee is healthy pee. Just as long as it's not brownish yellow this would mean kidney damage. The yellow is insulin from your pancreas. Insulin breaks down sugar and carbs. If you only have been drinking water clear pee is fine. But you have eaten food or been drinking something other than water it should be yellow. A good golden stream is perfect pee. My doctor told me this recently. Your pee should never be clear unless you have been only drinking water for the past few hours. If your pee is constantly white your developing diabetes because your bodies not producing insulin. When I first was diagnosed with diabetes my piss was white and sticky because my sugars and carbs in my body were not being broke down by the yellow insulin. Now I take a pill that stimulates my pancreas. So I always watch to make sure my pee is a good golden yellow because this means my pancrease functions correctly. Good luck and God bless.

By "white" I am assuming you mean clear, like water. The kidneys eliminate toxins and waste byproducts in the urine. In a state of dehydration the ratio of these substances to water increases. The more concentrated the urine the darker the color. Clear is well hydrated, straw color is mild dehydration, bright yellow is moderate dehydration and anything darker is severe. The color of your urine is a more sensitive indicator of your hydration status than thirst is. By the time you feel thirsty you are already behind in your fluid intake.

When you urinate yellow, you see all the waste left from your foods eaten. White urine is a sign that you have cleaned out your system of all waste. Clear or white is a good thing. Not to say yellow is bad but if you take your body weight and divide it by 2 , that will give you the ounces of daily water you should take in. It will clean out your system and make you feel better.

good day to you!
ive been told by our family doctor that there is no such thing as white pee...its very faint yellow - it means youve taken plenty enough liquid esp water which is good for the system.
yellow pee that varies from light to very yellow mean that you are not adequately taking in liquids esp water which is essential to the system.some explanation would mean that you maybe taking in medication that result in yellow pee.

Really dark yellow pee means that its more concentrated. and white or clear pee means that you are getting enough to drink..
Hope that helps!

yellow or dark yellow despite adequate fluid intake is abnormal. It needs investigation. white is normal. So is pale yellow or yellow when fluid intake is poor due to any reason.

If your urine is yellow, it's likely that you're dehydrated. The clearer your urine is, the more hydrated you are. The color all depends on the concentration of the water in your urine, that's all.
