I'll be 36 weeks this Thursday. I've had Braxton Hicks of course but last night I awoke to cramps that hurt pretty bad. They went away after a few minutes and have been coming and going sporadiacally.

What does this mean? Is it early signs of labor perhaps signalling that I could have her in about 2 weeks?

I suppose I'm very anxious and am hoping she will come around 37 or 38 weeks. Also, my nesting instinct has kicked in and I'm totally stressing about getting my house cleaned up.

If they persist try lying on your left side and drink a full glass of water. Sometime it happens when you are dehydrated. Don't worry too much unless you start to bleed heavily or your water breaks. Take this time to rest and get your house in order.
Good Luck and Bless u and your Bundle of Joy!

First of - STOP STRESSING ABOUT THE BLOOMIN HOUSE!!!! Baby won't give a monkeys if you haven't cleaned the skirting boards (says she, who was washing ceilings the night before giving birth)!!!

Its very likely you are going into slow labour Start timing when you get the pains - and watch out for a show when you go to the loo. And GET SOME REST.

Ohhhhhhhhhh its exciting - hope you have a nice easy labour and remember at the end of it will be a beautiful little baby!!

Good luck and all best wishes.

I had them like crazy from week 28 and on. But this with braxton hick probally is telling you are going into labor soon. You will have a baby soon. Good luck!

Could be labor, could be braxton hicks. I'd call the doc, and see what he thinks.

If you continue to have contractions...call the Dr. He might want to check you. Everytime I had the sudden urge to clean my house from top to bottom...I delivered within 2 days.

I would time your cramps......you could be in labor. Call your docotor immediately and tell him of your symptoms.

I was pregnant in 2004 and have very similar symptoms of what you have described and I had my daughter 3wks early. Everything will be fine, but PLEASE call you doctor.

I would call your doctor just to make sure that you are not dilating. Its better to know that it is a false alarm, than it be the real thing and not know.
