usually your router would be what's pushing out your wireless sign. this is attainable as a great form of ISPs are taking off to offer gateway routers which will act as your modem and router the two. in case you have had greater appropriate coverage and it has those days dropped i might ask your self what new has been introduced into the dwelling house. New television, Surrond Sound equipment, cellular telephone, Cordless telephone, etc. those are all issues which could intervene with a wireless sign. in case you have had something introduced in new, you may likely uncomplicated get entry to the router's configuration website (on your netgear could desire to be 192.168.0.227 i've got self belief) and alter the wireless channel. If although no longer something new has been introduced in, then i might advise that perhaps your router is going out and its time to swap in simple terms the router. i decide to propose which you utilize a linksys router myself.

If I am understanding the question, sounds like you are using a dial-up modem to access the Internet, and want to switch to a wireless connection. If that is the case, you can not do that. Wireless routers do not work with dial-up. They have to be attached to a cable or DSL line to access the Internet through a router.

You can use the wireless router to set up a home network for file sharing within your house. But you can not access dial-up Internet through it.
