What state do you live in? You can type in a search engine your state followed by child support. Then just find your states site. Usually there is a formula that any state goes by. They take your pay and her pay and extra income and then some others amounts........Usually it is 1/3 to 1/2 of your income. Then you have to pay half of day care and half of medical. Which is not included in your child support. This isn an extra expense. And Yes if this is your child you will be paying this for 18 years! So don't have anymore kids cause they don't care (the states) about previous kids. You'll be broke before you know it!

It really depends on where you live.
You will be paying child support until the child is 18.
If you haven't been paying child support the court will order a judgment against you for back child support that will have to be paid back regardless of the age of the child (even if you're still paying when that child turns 25)
Your payments will be based upon what you earn and will more than likely be garnished from your paycheck.
Search your state's government site for child support guidelines and that should help you out.

They will take a portion of your pay. I don't know how much you make but if you made a baby, you have to pay for it. If you don't pay, they can arrest you and put you in jail. I've seen that happen to a couple guys while working in a law office. I don't see what you're so upset about. If you have a child, don't you want it to have everything it needs? If you think the mother will not spend the money on the child, fight for joint custody and take care of the child too. That would cut down on the support payments as well. I would say congratulations on the baby, but I don't know if you sound very celebratory.

If you are the father you will be ordered to pay all of the costs of the child's birth and all back support to the present and you will pay support out of your check each pay period based on the Order of whatever has jurisdiction.
You will have to open a separate case for father's rights if the system does not address that issue in the paternity suit.

The results of the test won't say you have to pay child support but the judge will..The results of the test will say if it was you that made the child..
You will be under the mercy of the mother and the court and they will have no mercy..If you don't pay they may and probably will take away driving license..
Get a lawyer

If you are the father your child support is based on your income. The amount varies from state to state. Usually it is around a third but again it varies. And also you can be ordered to pay beyond the age of 18 as to help for college cost.

I don't think there is much that you can do. you will be required to pay a monthly amount, which varies on where you live and how much you earn. If you want to make any other arrangements, you will probably need a lawyer. You might be able to change the monthly amount based on how much time the child spends with you. Also, y ou might be required to pay $$ even beyond 18 if the child decides to pursue a higher education.

If you want to know everything I know about child support, first enroll in Law School and graduate, then go to Europe and become a licensed member of the EU and Hague.
Then write legislative position papers for three years and international legal briefs for another 10 years.
OR, ask a specific question regarding a specific issue in a specific state.
