dont worry, puberty starts for all people at different times. Its just a co-incidence that the people u mentioned had their puberty at that time. For some people it starts really late. Especially for Asians it can start as late as 15. Moreover its upon the hormones u have in your body.....Dont worry, your time will come....

Don't get too stressed out about it. Everyone is different and if your mom had it at 11 or whatever age she had it, doesn't mean you will too. It all depends on your body. I realized that the more you think about it, the less it will happen. You know what I mean? In the mean time enjoy not having to fiddle around with pads and tampons and cramps, while your friends do. You can go to the pool anytime you want.lol So don't really stress about it. I know it's hard to tell you that when you really want it bad, but it will come at it's given time. Then you will have to worry about all that stuff. You will have your growth spurt, and go through puberty and everything, but you just have to give your body time. I know a girl that had to period at 18. Yup so everyone is different. If you stress yourself, you'll just get more anxious and that's no good for you. So just relax...enjoy the moment.
Good luck.

13 is young.
Some women do not reach puberty until they're 18.
Trust me, you do not want to grow up fast. One day you will miss the day when you could put your shirt on and not have to wear a bra squashing into your chest and put up with weight fluctutations.
Relish and cherish the fact that you can still enjoy life without being "a girl"......In 20 years, you will know exactly what I mean.
Life is so short and we need to enjoy each age that we are when we are.....

You are perfectly normal, everyone is different periods can start anywhere from 10 – 16 so can the growth spurt. I know it is frustrating having to wait but it will happen don’t worry.
Have a wee look at this link, it should answer some questions that you may have:

Dear Pottermad,
There is NOTHING wrong with you, except you are a bit underweight for your height. Puberty starts at different ages in different people, so don't keep comparing yourself to other people all the time.
Why don't you talk to your mum and maybe visit a doctor just to be reassure yourself?
The only thing that is a possible concern is that you are starving yourself to be thin, as this can stop your period.
You are in the middle of your growing years, so eat heartily and be happy!

Everyone ages differently- my aunt didn't hit puberty until she was 17! Just have patience, it will happen soon enough. In the meantime, don't let it bother you- there's less to worry about- less hormones, less stress, no period. This is not something you want to rush. Just make sure that you're eating right (your body isn't going to start puberty if you starve yourself, or are malnourished) and taking care of your health.

don't be in any rush to grow up i say! i know that you want to experience having breasts, pubic hair and periods but that will all come in due time! your body just isn't ready yet even though perhaps in your mind you are! let nature take its course and it'll be here before you know it and then you'll be on here asking questions about pain with your period LOL. take one day at a time.

Everyone matures differently. Some girls don't get their periods until they are 16. Don't worry. You'll get it eventually and then you will wish that it goes away. Don't rush it.

My little sister started her period in the 10th grade. Don't be in such a hurry... you'll learn to hate it soon enough! ;-)
