Aztec Empire would be the answer but it's certainly not a complete answer.
Spanish conquest of Mexico would generally refer to the Spanish defeating the Aztec Empire, while the Spanish conquest of Yucatán would refer to defeating the various city states of the post classic Maya.
The Mayans actually put up a much better fight and held out much, much longer than the Aztecs.
