Mark of the Beast
Revelations 13:16--
"And [the Antichrist] causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save [except] he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Rev 13:16-18 KJV
So according to this passage in the Bible the Antichrist will force everyone to accept a mark in either the right hand or forehead of the wearer. Without this mark you won't be able to buy or sell."
What are your INSTINCTS about this?

To Blue Steel: No, the National ID is most certainly not "OK."
Hitler did not wake up one morning and start killing Jews.
It comes in steps. In little baby steps. The National ID is NOT OK and there is no way in hell I will adhere to it.
Let me ask you something: if it is supposed to "help" with security issues......WHY DO WE HAVE A POROUS BORDER?
It is for TRACKING and nothing more.

To Peny: No, This question is precisely where it should be, which is in POLITICS. The quote from Revelations I only included because I find it extraordinary.
Read it.
The National ID is the next step in a very orchestrated plan to implant ALL people EVERYWHERE with these chips. We are walking like zombies down a road to complete slavery.
The quote is simply sublime. READ it.

To Relax Guy: Who was saying those things? I have no idea what you're talking about.
You don't think there is something INSANE about implanting human beings with tracking devices?
Your response was quintessential KNEEJERK. No thought whatsoever.

TO DELPHI: You are 100% correct about the credit cards. It is 21st century SLAVERY. And I will NEVER submit to the National ID card, and they will have to KILL me to put an implant in me.

Is wrong and immoral in any way that you see it. Is what Hitler would've done if he was alive and I can't believe a free world like the U.S. would resort to this. Is really disgusting and fascist. The fact that our social security, medical records, political affiliation, and basically our whole lives could rest on a little card frightens me. As if we didn't have big brother to worry about with social security and the Patriot Act. A national ID card would be handed to all citizens and you can't even board a train if you don't have it. You will have to carry it everywhere you go and if you refuse, you might go to jail. It really doesn't sound like a free country anymore, does it? I'm vehemently opposed to a national ID card.

Well, I agree with most of you that allowing the government that amount of control over our lives is simply unacceptable. And here i am working with Foucault's equation of Knowledge and Power, which pretty much explains that elites translate their infinite thirst for power into a subtler (though equally over reaching) thirst for information.
I bring up Foucault because his theory of power (see "The Birth of the Prison") is not about future schemes of control but rather about the systems that are already in place to monitor and quantify our lives. Now, it is very important to look at the extent to which quantification has come to define us, because that is a simple demonstration of the success of the elites in gaining access to our lives and bodies.
We are talking salaries, driving licenses, credit ratings and the number they stamp atop your breast pocket when you cross any of the lines that arbitrarily restrain your daily life. It's clear that a national ID system is a malevolent idea designed to further enslave us, but the perception that we are not enslaved today or that you have nothing to worry if you have nothing to hide is simply naive.
Look, information is power. The government has already made clear that it considers Habeas Corpus too quaint too respect. Your 4th amendment rights have been out the window since the Reaganites declared a war on drugs. Asking a cop for a search warrant is somehow considered probable cause!!!! I mean, if you think that a national ID, or a chip in your wrist is a radical departure from business as usual, then i suggest you make a couple of donations to a nearby mosque and start listening in for that click sound every time you make a call.
Yeah, knowledge is power, and it is about time this nation stopped being so contemptuous of knowledge and started paying attention to the industrial sodomizing that your bosses and leaders are inflicting not only on every poor unlucky Jose or Osama but on every single All-American Billy, Ann and John.

Well, we're now already little more than numbers. After all, we've now got Social Security numbers and you have to provide a photo ID if you are doing anything major like applying for a job or entering a nightclub. However, the whole idea of there being a chip implanted into my body scares the sh*t out of me! Where I go and what I do there is my business and no one else's!

I don't know, nor care, about all of that crazy religious bunk, but national id cards make me think of some Nazi state. As far as the implanted chip, let 'em try. I would never except or allow someone to implant me with a tracking chip.

You are 100% right. National ID cards are evil and will not stop identity theft - they will facilitate it.
Australia's passport database is so corrupted that they will not accept a passport to open a bank account without much more ID, so what do you think a National ID card is for? Data collection on people to permit data mining and the persecution of unpopular persons and groups. It is so wrong.

My thoughts?... Arrrrrrgh!! No freakin' way!
They have enough tracking devices, I don't need one implanted in me.. Hell no!
If we allow them to do the national ID, which will likely happen the way it's going, it is a slippery slope from there to the microchip in your body.
The new slogan of the government will be: "You are free to do as we tell you!"
Elect Ron Paul, and stop this Big Brother business!!

Why assume that a national ID card would be anything more than a quick way to verify an individuals citizenship??
Micro chips are not needed and unacceptable to most.
Right now ,the feds cannot instantly access birth/death records from every state or even their own offices that handle birth deaths of children born overseas of Americans (military, diplomatic corps, etc)
Dead people still vote, The IRS only "knows" who files not everyone who receives wages ...etc.
In short, to protect citizens a nation must be able to quickly verify that xx was born xxx,(or died),If xx has ever been subject to a court ruling, pays taxes on wages, etc.
Information such as the above is available from "public records"; The gov failure to implement a data base that contains all US citizens birth/death/court/criminal records and tax records is endangering its citizens.
It is easier and less expensive to verify a citizens birth, death, tax,SSan, and gov service and services records than try and request verification from xxx village in xx country and hope they transmit accurate photo, vaccination/ health/ criminal records etc..
Implanted Chip tracking is delusional but a nation's need to quickly verify the nationality of an individual is- in today's world -a extra level of protection.

We are well on way to the mark beast.
The next step and we are so close Christians & Jews will be blame for everything and they will become the bad guys hunted down by the state.
Liberals think Bush is the Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ will rally the world against Christians and he will be the hero of liberals.
G-d is about to pull the plug and my prayer is as many will believe in G-d before it is too late.

I won't be participating in either programs. I don't do credit cards as I see it as a form of slavery. They can stuff their national id cards as well as any thought to implanting chips.
