Babe Ruth, but all of them revolutionized the game and if it were not for them baseball would not be the same. Babe Ruth basically made baseball what it is today, Jackie broke the color barrier allowing more diversity, and Hank Aaron come on 755 home runs.

O.k well everyone thinks jackie Robinson was such a great baseball player really he was just really fast and a great fielder and of course the first african american in the league but guys like Aaron and ruth were way better at the sport itself and in just my opinion between Ruth and Aaron i would have to give the nod to Ruth!

That Aaron hit more home runs than anybody obscures his other achievements. That Robinson was the pioneer obscures that he was incredibly skilled, changing HOW the game was played, not just BY WHOM.
But imagine a lefthanded pitcher who put up four years worth of stats you would expect from Sandy Koufax or Randy Johnson. Now imagine a hitter who put up 16 years of stats like you would expect from Barry Bonds, and this before steroids' current use were even imagined. Now imagine it's the same guy, the great pitcher becoming the all-time great hitter.
Until somebody else pitches like the Big Unit and then hits like the Big Barroid, it's the Big Bambino. Babe Ruth.

Ruth remains the best player in history, but any one of these men improves any roster.
Well, improves in theory. Babe and Jackie are dead, and so among 2007 teams would probably only help the Royals, and Hank's in his 70s and, should he choose to come out of retirement, would have to play for Milwaukee, which has retained his rights.

In addition to being a great pitcher and a member of a billion championship teams, Ruth, during his heyday, dominated so much that his season home run totals often exceeded totals for entire opposing teams.
Aaron and Jackie were certainly great, but they weren't even the best players of their generations, let alone the greatest player ever.
