Dems have a history of backing ridiculous candidates. JFK was the last great Democrat.

Al Gore would make a great president, better than any of the other GOP candidates.
And FYI- Al Gore never, ever said global warming was his idea.
One of Gore's major works as Vice President was the National Performance Review which pointed out waste, fraud, and other abuse in the federal government and stressed the need for cutting the size of the bureaucracy and the number of regulations.
RE: the Internet- Digital Earth was the label given to a visionary concept, made popular in 1998 by former US vice president Al Gore, for describing a virtual representation of the Earth on the Internet that is spatially referenced and interconnected with the world’s digital knowledge archives.

Gore received more votes than Bush in 2000. The American people elected Gore by more than half a million votes. The messed-up voting in Florida, the antiquated electoral system and the Supreme Court’s peculiar, and admittedly unique, ruling put Bush into the presidency.
Al Gore would make a very good candidate. His global warming advocacy has only enhanced his appeal.

Gore almost won in 2000. He is not to be discounted. He is a clever man, with a lot of knowledge from his father's experience in Washington, DC and from his time as Veep.
The problem for him is that he is the ultimate beltway boy. He could not even carry his own state against GWB.
Despite everything, he would run circles around Hillary, Obama and Edwards.
He also acquitted himself extremely well when he lost in the Supreme Court.
While I would not vote for him and I think his global warming rubbish is snake oil, to make the big corporations like GE rich from solar, etc., he is the least worst Democrat.

In my analysis of the upcoming election, I have determined that this one should be a landslide Democrat victory. Unfortunately, however, there really isn't a great candidate...which could stand in the way of a sure win. Gore is being suggested, in my opinion, because he will receive much support due to his works over the last eight years, and he has a much better chance of winning, versus Hillary or Obama.
I marvel at the Democrat's shortsightedness...not realizing that they have all but won the White House already...but have not presented a candidate that the people can comfortably elect...

Because there will be no election in 08. Congress is working on new 'election process' rules whereby the new president will be selected by winning a pie eating contest. Al is a shoe in.

he also invented the internet. HA HA. He wouldn't make a great president, or even a good one, eventhough he has had a long political career he doesn't have what it takes.
truth speaker get your facts straight, Bush won both the electoral and popular votes, I even had to look it up last time some liberal made that false statement.

I asked him yet he suggested he's merely too busy attempting to fire up the international warming hysteria because of the fact he stands to make extra funds from his carbon credit scheme than he will ever stand to make as President.

Because they have been brainwashed into thinking that it is the government's duty to tax somebody based on how much carbon they consume.
