Somewhere in between. I don't mind living a slightly less than super-exciting life as along as I am happy and surrounded by family and good friends. I'd like to do some more travelling before I go.
When I can no longer take care of myself, or when my wife dies, it is time for me to go. That night it will be a great movie, an extra large pizza with the works, a bottle of Black Opal Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, and some pills for an easy departure.

Neither. Each milepost has it's own pleasures and thrills - I am sure. You will never enjoy a Christmas quite like you did in childhood, yet does it compare with spending the holiday with your significant other in an A-frame chalet, fireplace ablaze as a light snow dusts the moon lit valley view?
I'm in no hurry to eat the desert - but I will order the full 7 course meal, drink a bottle, enjoy the company and music, and dance before I check out.

Fast or slow... I don't really care much as long as I can die knowing that I lived to the fullest every experience that came across my path. But I do fear old age... and would much rather end my life early before being unable to care for myself.

If you want to have a good life doing all the things you want you have to slow it down to achieve every pleasure of life and then when your an old man waiting for death you will feel happy that you had a good life on earth doing all the things you wanted to do and you will realize that you wouldn't of regretted it one bit
