LOL!! Yes, and most of the time it's my own darned fault. I tend to type before I think, and sometimes the q gets mangled in translation. The few times I tried to clarify a dud, I think I only succeeded in confusing everyone (including myself) even more so I've learned to leave well enough alone.

I recently asked whether YouTube and MySpace would be used as much if they had only user-generated content. Both are being sued. Instead of getting answers that addressed the question, I got answers that argued that YT and MS should prevail in their suits. It was impossible for me to pick a best answer, so I ended up just throwing it open to a vote. There were many misconceptions and inaccuracies in the answers. It was probably my fault; I selected a question topic that was probably too technical.

I normally just have the problem of people not bothering to directly answer the question. They want to air their pet peeves not give me an honest response.
My problem is that so many people don't realize what I've written is satire. I had one guy who wrote me and chewed me out good for being such a low down, despicable person. About three minutes later I got a retraction: "Dude, I just figured out you were kidding. That was brilliant. I'm giving you the ten points."

That happens to me all the time. Sometimes I try to ask another question in hopes of clarifying things, but there are too many people who don't think before they answer and they often don't see my next question. Ah well, such is life I suppose...

I have had that, where in the end I was seriously worried that 80% of the answerers may have some congenital brain defficiency!
It was really sad.
Luckily most folk seem to be on the ball lately! Thank goodness!

OMG YES! I actually had to ask a question like three times to finally get some decent answers because everyone either didn't read the whole question or missed certain key words in the question..........

YES! I get so embarrassed for them since there are a few that will totally get the question.
I've tried clarifying but now I just say "heck with it"

Yes, I was trying to be funny by asking what a "statue" of limitations was, and most people corrected me and went on to explain the "statute of limitations".
Best answer was a guy who said, it's a monument with limits. At least HE got it.
