first time I remember hearing preggers was about 20 years ago. first time I heard prego was about 10 years ago. I remember this because I hate the terms so much that they've left a lasting impression.

It's been preggers for years. Preggo is a brand of spaghetti sauce.

"Preggers" has been around for decades on end as a term for "pregnant. "Preggo" is the newcomer, only being around for about the last twenty years as a popular expression.
What I want to know is why women say "va-jay-jay" instead of "va-ge-ge" when they don't want to say "vagina", since there is no "j" in the word.

i see preggers more than preggo, but i think they are both kinda silly and trivialize something that is going to change your life forever.

Judging from the spelling, and the apparent context in which it could be used, I would say it was a word used by the homosexual community. As they often refer to streight people as breeders.
Its probably not a new word, just hearing it being used more.
