Depo is NOT 100% effective against pregnancy, I've known women who got pregnant while on depo, taking it exactly as prescribed and in the timeframe required.

The fact that you took it two weeks late could mean you are pregnant. You should have had a pregnancy test done before they gave you the shot. The shot should be every 12 weeks.

This is just another nasty side affect with depo provera.

Please reconsider the shot. It is horrible, has very bad side affects (as you found out), and there are class action lawsuits against the makers of this shot for what it does to women.

I would not recommend the depo shot for anyone. I was on it for four years and am so glad I am OFF of it. There are so many negative side affects. I am much happier on the pill Kariva.

First of all your doctor should have done a pregnacy test BEFORE giving you the second shot (I am an OB/GYN nurse) and secondly have you had unprotected sex? Then yes, it is possible and you need to take a test. You need to be responsible on depo for it to work correctly. Being two weeks late for your shot is not responsible and perhaps you need to think of a different form of birth control. Normally Depo is very easy, but you need to remember your shots and be on time. Google "Depo-Provera" for their website and it has some good Q&A and a phone number to call one of their nurses and you can ask them as well.

More than likely it's the shot. When I was on it they explained it to me that, whatever is in it makes your bady think you are pregnant. I was in hell my second shot. I got off of it after that. Personally didn't like it at all. Good Luck

you shouldn't never be able to get pregnant on depo. Call your doctor. Also when ur going to start trying i was told your suppose to wait a year so it can get out of your body.
