I'd laugh. I had a Jolly Roger that I bought for work. THEY wouldn't allow it to hang, so i put it up at my parents' house. They were leery at first, but it got a lot of attention. People came over to compliment them on their POW-MIA flag, which is the same color scheme and looks about the same.

Then, they noticed it was a pirate flag, and they all seemed amused. No one ever complained and no one asked my parents to take it down.

Mind you, this was before Pirates of the Caribbean, so pirates were cool only to those of us who liked them. They weren't trendy or popular with the masses. When that movie came out, and EVERYONE thought the flag was for Jack Sparrow, I took it down. My pirate-liking has now become something that's more mainstream.

That sucks.

Ye arrrrrr Matey! Them be some scurvy pirates!

Seriously, I wouldn't pay them much mind. Now if they get a galleon (ship) with cannons to go under their Jolly Roger, then I'd be worried.

I would think they are huge fans of Johnny Depp!

My son loves the Buccaneers, and he has a large Jolly Roger flag in his room -- I think they're fun!

I wouldn't be too surprised. He always complained his wife was a pirate's paradise. She had a sunken chest.
