Jana was a brit, I think.
I don't know if there is a connection.
It seems like they're getting off track with Cane. At first it was implied (with that phone call he made to "someone) that he might be a bad guy. Now he's acting all high and mighty with the "nobody lies to me bit" that he laid on Amber last week.
Not sure what's going on.
I miss Jana, they should've done something better with her character. Maybe they will bring her back and have her be a quirky/permanent member of the cast.....

No,they are not connected.And I actually think that Professor Korbel is Jill's son,not Cane.
