People, this was a vote AGAINST steeper penalties for VIOLATIONS OF THE EXISTING LAW. It was not a vote against imposing stricter LAWS.

Please do educate yourselves.

Because he may feel that we dont need more penalties, what we actually need is to actually make peopel serve the penalties that are already on the books. Dont know the actual bill in question, but most times the parts of a bill that are cherry picked to make a candidate look bad are only a small part of a large bill that may have had many objectional pieces, you have to vote on the entire bill not just parts.

The correct answer is:

The laws we have now are not enforced. More laws, do not solve the problems. Liberals believe, more spending and more laws will solve everything. Just look at education. How much more money will be spent.

Also the government makes loads of money off them. Look at tobacco. Millions of people die from tobacco products, but the government will not do anything because feds and states make billions of dollars in tax revenue.
