I agree with you. Bush is respected because he fights for what he believes in. Though I do not agree with his opinion on immigration, I respect that he is doing what he thinks is best for the country.

President Bush is a very respectable president and has restored to some extent the damage that was done by the Clinton administration as the world watched with baited breath as he committed perjury.
Of course President Bush could have swayed like a reed in the breeze at any and all polls-----but he had the courage to stick to his convictions and do the job he feels is right for our nation.
I for one am mighty proud of this great man and believe that history will reflect his greatness when all is said and done.
Folks the 2008 presidential race will be a pivotal time in American history-------we had better make the right decisions
I think his faith in God has been a major influence in his decisions.--------and I fully respect that..

I believe Pres Bush is respectable leader even when he has the likes of Pelosi going to Syria and kiss there feet and the likes of Jimmy Carter spouting his mouth off in other countries both Pelosi and Jimmie Carter show no respect or loyalty to there country but only to there belief.
Years ago a person of Pelosi`s position would not do something that disrespectful , the politicians of the past put country first and politics second but now a days only strive for there own.
Pres. Bush shows his courage to stand up for what is right even when being bad mouthed by the likes of Jimmie Carter and Pelosi and all the other left loons.

Your poor misguided and misinformed soul. I am glad to see that you have come out of the coma you have been in for the last 6 years.
People all over the world, while they respect the office of the President they do not respect the man currently in that office.
If you do your research you will discover that he is a liar, corrupt, incompetent, greedy and arrogant. He doesn't realize that in a democracy he is not a dictator and that he must compromise once in awhile. His stubbornness will be one contributing factor to the Republicans losing the election next year. Many Republicans are distancing themselves from him. If he was as respectable as you claim they would be clamoring to get near him instead they avoid him like the plague. As far as speaking the truth he wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him in the butt. He has grown up in a home of privilege where he could have whatever he wanted and the truth was often bent in order to get his way.
He had the opportunity to be a truly great president but his attitude and unwillingness to work with the Congress will make him the worst president the US has ever had.

I really don't think he is. He is arrogant, very poor at foreign policy, has gotten us inescapably embroiled in an unjustified and unwinnable war, and he has some friends who are morally dodgy and I do believe birds of a feather flock together. The most recent embarrassing association is Roland Arnall, the founder of Ameritech, which is being charged with widespread predatory lending. Bush appointed himAmbassador to the Netherlands. This individual made his millions by taking advantage of the poor and ill-informed. No one respectable hangs with people like that.

He is respectable because of his position in an influential country. He is not respected by most countries and most citizens because he and his administration have not been honest to the country or its citizens. He has tried to ramrod things through the UN without a consensus. He has caused more problems in other countries because he gets involved when he should not and doesn’t get involved when he should.

He is?!?!?
I must have missed that when Tony Blair lost his job for supporting him
Or when troops were still in iraq but we captured the knucklehead
or when the price of gas went up consistent with his oil buddies getting richer
or when the bird pooped on him
or when his vp shot a man and had the victim apologizing for being shot
or when a mother whose son was killed had to underhandly buy land near his texas home/retreat to get his attention
or when he acts as though the troops should stay in iraq forever
or when the economy continues to decline with no hope of recovery
or maybe this is all my imagination and i need to take off my rose colored glasses.
i hope this helps

I think you are in the minority for sure.
I don't think Bush is respected in the rest of the world.
I have no doubt that world leaders like Putin and Blair laugh
their a$$es off behind his back.
I find it absolutely hysterical that you find this piece of vermin
respectable. He is a coward, he can barely speak the English language, he has been a failure at everything he has done in his life.
respectable. Thanks for the laugh.
I love the he stays the course answers. ONLY AN IDIOT STAYS THE COURSE WHEN THEIR SOLUTION IS NOT WORKING THAT'S CALLED STUPIDITY.

I think he´s a respectable leader because he doesn´t change his mind as often as the "polls" he doesn´t go with the mob, he knows whats right and has a vision of the future....
He remebers those who died in Sept-11 and believes in the american saying, Jusitice for all..... he´s trying to spread freedom and democracy around the world.....

He holds fast to what he believes and I respect him for it. He also believes terrorism is a real threat and I agree.
I just wish he'd wouldn't support the flawed immigration bill.
