I would have died if someone had seen me in a Dollar Store or even Value City, KMart, etc. Of course, that would have meant they were in there too!

They didn't have Dollar Stores when I was growing up. My mom did frequent garage sales, rummage sales, and thrift stores for our clothes though. I remember one time she bought an outfit that she made me wear and it had previously belonged to a girl in a grade below me. How embarrassing.

I was always embarrassed as a kid. Especially when my best friend would make me laugh so hard I would pe in my pants a little and I would carry stuff in front of me so nobody would see it.

no! i loved dollar stores...they had some of the coolest stuff...it was cheap, too...lol..but, no, i didnt' mind at all. if the other person sees you in there then that meant that they shopped there, too, so it didn't really matter.
