The fan is not blocked, and the air isn't reaching the hard drive anyway. Because I took the bottom panel off, and there is no way that ANY air can get to it. So what should I do, I dont wanna get those cooling pads because I dont wanna be restricted to one spot. So...?

yea, it's causing all the heat, and when I try to use it, it makes my palms, hot and a little sweaty.

Well I am assuming you're talking about a notebook computer. You can get an Antec Notebook cooler that is powered by your USB device and you can still be mobile with a cooler. Get it here:

Cooling pads are as mobile as the laptop you attach it to, and they blow cool external air agaist the bottom of the computer.

However, if it is your HDD causing all the heat, you might want to consider having it checked out. The HDD does produce quite a bit of heat, but if it is hot enough to feel uncomfortable to the touch, it is running too hot.

Download and install a Hard Drive Monitor software, search for it on google.com. This software will tell you whether your hard drive is working fine or not. It also monitors the temperature.
