i think of that drooling is involuntary and in simple terms comes out or your mouth. you do no longer mean to drool once you sleep. And spitting is projecting it whether this is voluntary or involuntary. yet in one occasion that it is called drool whilst one is wakeful is on infants (a minimum of i call it drool). And with infants it is likewise involuntary and in simple terms comes out.

actually it's still called drool if it slips out of your mouth it's called spit when you actually spit it out
