Someone With PCOS Help Please!!!!!?

Question

I am 20 years old with PCOS, its so hard for me to function no in that I have it, I really want to have kids, my hormones are imbalance real bad. I would feel more comfortable if someone out there who have PCOS can give me a testomonie about how you conceive, how long it take, and what did you take.

I have PCOS and have known that I have it for 14 years. I have a friend (also called Donna) who has PCOS.

Both of us took Metformin, Donna also took clomid. Donna got pregnant fairly quickly, but sadly lost her baby. She then went on to have two beautiful boys.

For me, I was never bothered about having children. I was told at 26 that it was unlikely, so that was that. I have been with my Husband for almost three years and for most of them we have not used contraception, but we were certainly not trying for a baby.

I am 16 weeks pregnant now, so I would say that it took 2.5 years to get pregnant.

PCOS is not the nicest thing in the world, but you have to come to terms with it. You will find little ways of coping and dealing with the problems that it throws up.

I was told as a teen that Id likely never have children. I was 22 when I gave birth for the first time. Due to other reasons where I honeslty believe it was God steppign in that I did not conceive with my second husband, I was 34 the second and will be 35 the third and last. My recomendation woudl be to do whatever you can to get your hormones back on track. What worked best for me, even though I didnt conceive(I DID start to have regular periods again for a time) was a birth control pill. It gave my ovaries a chance to rest and the cysts that were so built up adn preventing further ovulatory cycles to clear up. I had a good 6 months of "normal" cycles afterwards.
