Why does my 18 week old scream her head off when you give her a bottle, go mad when you try and put a dummy in, but then continue to put everything else she can find into her mouth. She attempts to put her entire hand in to the point of reaching, gather up most of her bib and try to put all that in, or grab the bottom of her dress and attempt to eat that instead. She wont take bottles, dummies or teethers when she's like this. This can maybe happen after an ounce or two of milk and then you can't get anything else down her until the next feed. We haven't started weaning her at all yet and some days she's really down on milk when she's in this mood

By dummy I'm assuming you mean pacifer. But none the less the act of putting her fist or anything into her mouth is her way of trying to self pacify. Don't stop her, let her be...most likely once she finds something, thumb, two fingers or whatever...she'll dose off.
My girl really dislike the pacifier, but when she's ready to chill she sticks her two middle fingers in her mouth; noisily sucks until she falls asleep.
Suckling is a natural thing that a baby does to comfort & sooth itself. Be thankful that your child is showing ways of self coping & soothing, instead looking for others do this for her.

toddlers this age do this all the time my son who would be a three hundred and sixty 5 days previous next Saturday does this on a daily foundation. all you're able to do is watch them and be certain it is not something which would be risky to them and not concern approximately each thing else. If he's something like my son if he selections up some thing that doesn't style good he will throw it perfect bypass into opposite(anyhow my son does) additionally boys would be boys and then desire to discover each thing(and a few females do additionally) we purely would desire to enable them to earnings from trial and mistake and if it quite is a few thing you do no longer want him to have take it from his hand and tell him NO THATS YUCKY. That has worked with my son good success and attempt to no longer concern a lot approximately what he places in his mouth.

hi. maybe she is teething or maybe you need to get some more teats with bigger holes. if she is not getting her milk quick enough and having to suck too hard for it then she will get peed off and just give up on the bottle and try to eat everything else. a really good answer though would be to go see your health visitor. hope this helps.

Your daughter may have acid reflux its very upsetting to babies all my kids had it and it is no fun for them. Try to take her to the doctor and see what they say explain to them what is going on. Also maybe try holding her in a more upright position while feeding that seemed to help my son a little bit. ~~ I wish you the best and hope it gets better

try a teething gel or something like teething powders, just read the box first. Ask the pharmasist for one, Ambesol is good, its a liquid to rub on gums and you can use it too if you get toothache

some babies don't like dummys - dont worry about it.
i would go and see your gp to find out what to do and what is happening.
if it is teething use calgel on her gums to soothe the pain
