Yes, but I hope that my defenders care enough about me to then turn right around and tell me straight up how wrong I was and why. My real friends are truth tellers, not yes men and women.

Of course... it would show me how much they really do care about me. I have a hard time believing that people do care. Though I would explain to them the reason I didn't deserve it.

I remember once my boss was giving me a hard time at work and my husband offered to beat him up for me. (Of course, he was really kidding) but it felt good to have him offer. I laughed and it took some of the stress out of the situation.
