Short answer: You want something badly enough, you'll let nothing stop you from getting it.
Long answer: You accept only the best, you deny yourself everything else along the way. You lose sight of everything else leading up to the one and only thing you want, and in the end, all you have IS the best. Some might call that grim and hardcore determiniation to not let anything else stand in your way. Others might call that losing perspective and not seeing the forest for the trees.
It's one of those things that's designed NOT to have a single meaning or definition, but rather one of those things designed to make you THINK about what it means, and in turn, what kind of person you are.

It means what it's saying. If you keep telling yourself, I will only have the best, I will not accept anything below perfect, you will often get the best.

You get what you strive for, if you never accept second best then you will always get what satisfies you. (the best).
In reality though, sometimes you have to accept less, that's life.
