I think it would be difficult NOT to have preconceived ideas about some things. I can't think of any particular instances off-hand but I'm sure I've been pleasantly surprised to be wrong AND disappointed to be right on occasions.

Not these days, I tend to look at the whole picture now instead of half of it, kept having to learn the hard way having preconceived ideas.

No, I try not to. Nothing in life is guaranteed or as we think it "should" be. I try to keep my mind empty as much as possible so I am guided by my higher conscious.
If I had pre-conceived notions, then I would be trying to control myself and others and that is a recipe for unhappiness and potential disaster.
