1. there are "data migration kits" sold at the stores that will help you. Some contain wires that may possibly help. Maybe you could connect the modem on the old computer to the modem on the new computer?
2. You could find a PC that has both discs and a flash drive, and then use it to convert the data off the discs to the flash drive.
3. Maybe you could email the files to yourself using Yahoo mail, and then read and download them on the new machine.

u can definitely use a re writable cd....or better take out the hard disk of the pc connect it to another PC by making it secondary hard disk copy entire data on a usb and copy it to laptop.
Or if ur pc is LAN enabled than connect ur pc & laptop into one network and copy the data
Or Using the serial port connect both the systems make one server and the other guest and extract all the data...
Try any one u find easy....best of luck.... :)

Worldstart.com,(Home page), go to Software Store,(top heading on page), Cool Gadgets,(heading over on the left), page 2. Scroll down to.....USB to USB Direct Net LInk Cable. This cable directly transfers files between computers at USB speeds. $20.97, no shipping. (Not selling their stuff, I've used it before, works great, and fast!)
