Is it Yaw-hoo or yaa-hoo?

I've always said yaa-hoo answers, but my friend says it's yaw-hoo.

Then again, she moved here to Indiana from Minnesota seven years ago and still pronouces everything wrong and makes fun of Hoosier pronunciation.

I think you might find others in Minnesota who might also pronounce some of the ah sounds as "aw" too .

Definitely YAH-hoo ... or sometimes yah-HOOOOOO!

'Yaa' pronounced a bit like the 'ja' in Jasmina but a bit longer and 'hoo' like the 'du' in hindu.
