The Canadian teams seceding from the NHL and forming their own Canadian Hockey League?

Or do you think they will find a way to "grow the sport" so to say, and have more cities represented in the NHL?

And form a 6 team league? Good luck with that. Largest city in Canada without a team is Quebec with a Metro Area Population of just over 700,000. There are 7 cities in the US that have at least 3 times that population and don't have a team.

Population isn't everything. For the past two years, Chicago, Washington, Saint Louis, NY Islanders, and New Jersey have had the worst attendance in the league. That said, I can't see the Canadian teams leaving the NHL. It would be better if a few American teams were eliminated.

It would survive but more than 80% of the good talent would remain in the NHL.I agree with 0826 but I wouldnt get rid of those teams they would draw more if there was a better product on the ice,man bettman has ruined this league. Its not a international league it regional and will thrive if they treat it as such.
