How do I transfer information from one computer to another?

Connect the two computers on a network and transfer files between them

Copy the files to something like a CD, DVD, flash drive, etc. and move them

Take the hard drive out of one computer and put it into the other as a second drive, and transfer files.

When doing the transfer, you can move data file (pictures, music, videos, etc). But you can not transfer programs. Mostly will not work if just copied from one computer to another. They have to be reinstalled from the original disk or downloads.
