Link all your paperclips together.

Sharpen all your pencils down to the eraser.

If you have envelopes in your desk you can seal them all shut.

Set all the speed dials on your phone for local restaurants/stores.

It is not illegal to give a bad reference, but you have to be wary when giving any information that could be challenged or argued by the former employee. Especially if they are not offered a job because of something you said.

I do references all the time for my staff. I am only willing to provide the dates of their service, job title, salary and whether their was any outstanding employment tribunal going on.

Rating their honesty, integrity, willingness to co-operate etc. just isn't worth it nowadays as if you offer defamatory information about the employee and they do not get a job or loose a job because of it, they can take you to an employment tribunal.

As for your last few working days.... get some nice fresh prawns in their shells and place them strategically round your office so that they wont be found. Nice parting smell to leave them with over the next few weeks!!

I'm retired after working for 48 years. The employer will no doubt do a lot better once you're out of there. You give slacker a new dimension.

With your attitude, you'd do everyone a favor if you'd leave now. Don't bother counting staplers or ceiling tiles. Count the steps from your desk to the exit and keep going. You'll be out of there soon anyhow, so why be a jerk about it? No, I am not making comments at work.....I've "done" my time and I retired early, thank you very much. You could, too, if you'd work on occasion.

It is actually illegal to give a "bad" Reference, the only thing a company can do if refuse to give a reference which is considered basically the same to a bad one.

as for stuff to do?
http://www.miniclip.com
http://www.newgrounds.com

depends what you like really
just do a search on yahoo for something you like, read up a lil,
then there are jokes etc.
Forums are a good one too,

whats wrong with the place?

Why do you not do what you are being paid for ? We can all guess why you will have to leave your present employment. Your leaving will no doubt be like a flush of new life to your present employer. Wonder what you will get as a leaving present ? " Three cheers and you gift wrapped P45 ! "

its easy to wast time, just do all the things u consider pointless,i don't think ur a slacker i mean why should u work hard if ur leaving there's no point.
ur just getting work done for some1 else who will probably just re-do what u've done.

If they don't know you are leaving put yourself in a position where everyone else is dumping thier work on you, then leave. That's the gift that keeps on giving.

Well, as for websites, http://www.bored.com is a good start.
http://www.shockwave.com has some fairly decent online games to while away the hours.
http://www.ebaumsworld.com is one with potentially NSFW (not safe for work) stuff, but is still good for a laugh.

I'll add more as and when I find em!
