That's what File Sharing is all about.
- both computers must be in the same Workgroup. Right click on MY COMPUTER and pick PROPERTIES. Go to the Name section. The computers MUST a have different name.
- set file sharing. Right click on the shared folder and pick SHARING. Turn that on.
- browse My Network places. From the other computer, right click on Network Places and pick EXPLORE. Look through the entire network, and open your workgroup, then the OTHER computer. You should see the shared files. You might have to make some Firewall changes.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

Using the "My Network Places", you should be able to View all of computers on your network. If you want to get a file or folder from another computer, you click on the listing for that computer and you will be able to see any folders the computer has shared. Then you simple drag and drop, or copy and paste, just as if you were copying the file from one folder to another on your own computer.
To share a folder, you have to rightclick on it and select properties. Go to the Sharing tab and give permission for other people to access that folder.
