When I came to visit my relatives, I saw that they had gotten a pair of two exotic-looking fish. They look a bit stuffy in the tank of that size, so I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of fish they are so i can look them up, or know of a website that I could use. There is a picture of them here. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c4/AmaMizuKitsune/1006.jpg

These are Gar! Can grow very large and will definatley need more space. They really make poor aquarium fish! They also are carnivorus. Good luck!

Oh one more thing...you better hope that its a Spotted Gar and not an Alligator Gar. Spotted Gars get to about 3 feet and 8lbs at maturity. Alligator Gar at maturity can weight well over 100-200 lbs!

Those seem like alligator gar fish to me, you can find them in the wild. I have not seen one at a pet store before.
Good Luck

They look like spotted gar to me. Look them up - growing to 3 feet long they are quite unsuitable to most typical aquariums ad stuffy doesn't begin to describe it!
